ABOUT JUDY KUBAC
Judy was born in former Czechoslovakia. After finishing the college she married, had two children and worked in financial institution, very early she started to be involved in photography. Had to escape as many others did in 1968 after Russian red army invasion and adopted Canada as her home. She settled in Edmonton and never stopped working.
She loves to communicate with people and as a technician she helps her husband in his medical practice. In Canada she developed interest in other form of arts namely in pottery. Judy is also a skilful knitter and is interested in fashion. She loves colors and shapes of nature, loves the flower harmonies and collects rocks which have animal or human resemblance. She started to do small scale paintings for enjoyment but two years ago she quickly became very active and prolific. She is experimenting with different painting techniques, works with watercolors, pastels and colages. Joined the society of Western Canadian artists and started to exhibit. She deviates from representational paintings and abstracts the images.Expressing flowers in a different personal way is her source of joy. Keep watching her journey!
